We are a group of dental specialists with sound and broad education and training from well recognised Universities. We continuously train and develop our specialist skills by attending courses, conferences and congresses. We actively participate as a lecturers and demonstrators, teaching dental students and giving lectures and courses to the dental community
Dr Gabriel Rodriguez-Ortiz

Gabriel obtained his dental degree from the University of Antioquia-Colombia in 1994. He moved to Australia more than 20 years ago and worked in private practice for several years. He then completed the Graduate Diploma in Implant Dentistry - University of Melbourne in 2006, before entering the three-year full-time doctorate training in Specialist Periodontics at the University of Melbourne. Gabriel is highly trained in all aspects of periodontics, implant dentistry, including soft and hard tissue grafting. In addition, he has been a part-time demonstrator for the dental students at the Dental School-Melbourne University.

Gabriel is an active member of several dental and academic societies, including the Australian Dental Association, Australian New Zealand Association of Periodontics, Australian Society of Periodontics, Australian Osseointegration Society.

Gabriel enjoys family time, is married and father of two kids. Loves reading, playing water polo and riding his bike.

Dr. Gina Espinosa has over 25 years of experience and is very passionate about what she does. She strives to bring the right combination of comfort, health, and beauty to every patient. With her extensive dental experience, she feels is important to provide not only quality dentistry to her patients, but to help them relax and feel good during their dental experience.
Dr. Espinosa completed a 2-year training in Orthodontics for the general dentist at the University of Sydney in 2017. She is also a member of the Australian Dental Association.

She has since treated many patients with fixed appliances and interceptive orthodontics. She is also a certified Invisalign Provider. She is passionate about photography, loves exercising and traveling. She is known for her gentle approach to treat patients and having a wonderful connection with children.
Veronica Mellis
My name is Veronica and I’ve been a registered dental hygienist for almost 16 years. I have worked in general and private practice and have a keen interest in prevention of gum disease and education to prevent it. I enjoy building rapport with my patients so that we can forge strong, ongoing relationships with oral health as the main objective.
I have various creative interests, love the outdoors and animals as well as enjoying time with my family.
Angela Koutsodontis
My name is Angela. I’m the first point of contact at Dental Specialists. I have been working in the Specialist Periodontal field for the last 27yrs. I am a trained dental nurse with a lot of knowledge and experience in periodontal treatments. My role is general management of reception. I love working with people and building relationships. I take pride in my work and I’m always willing to go the extra mile to ensure client needs are met. I have a friendly nature and show empathy towards people.
Away from the practice, I enjoy socialising and spending time with family and friends. I love anything to do with sport. I’m married and have two children.
